Three of the RIIC board members, Misha Joukowsky, Ella Hood and Avi Nevel participated in the 40 year celebration event of the BIRD Foundation event on Wednesday, June 14th. One of the Rhode Island BIRD Foundation grant success stories mentioned at the event was of SoftWheel/Crawford High Performance Composites. (Crawford is owned by Misha Joukowsky, our board member). During the event, future collaboration between the RIIC and BIRD leadership was discussed. In the last four years, three Rhode Island companies were recipients of the BIRD Foundation award. Andrea Yonah, the East Coast Representative for BIRD participated in multiple events in Rhode Island; recently, at World Trade Day, and last year at an event in Newport.
