Avi Nevel, Founder and CEO of the Rhode Island Israel Collaborative (RIIC), recently paid a visit to the Chafee Center at Bryant University's new location at 100 Salem St. in Smithfield. Greeted by Jason Kelly, the new director, Nevel had the opportunity to meet the entire team, including Cecilia Pirotto, Ben Weinstein, and Cathy Fontaine. The meeting focused on reviewing past collaborations between the Chafee Center and Bryant University with the RIIC while discussing potential future projects and opportunities to strengthen business, research, and academic relationships between Israel and Rhode Island ecosystems.

During the meeting, participants reflected on successful joint initiatives, such as the Rhode Island Israel trade missions to Israel in 2011, 2013, and 2016, as well as a virtual joint trade mission in 2021. They also discussed various events featuring insightful Israeli speakers. As they looked ahead, they explored several avenues for collaboration between the Chafee Center at Bryant University and the RIIC, including organizing future trade missions to Israel and from Israel to Rhode Island, coordinating speakers for both locations, assisting students and faculties, and much more.

These collaborative efforts promise to bolster connections between the communities and promote growth across diverse sectors. Both Nevel and Kelly expressed enthusiasm for the future of the RIIC and Chafee Center partnership, as they work together to forge new opportunities and strengthen existing bonds between Rhode Island and Israel.
