Avi Nevel the CEO and Founder of the Rhode Island Israel Collaborative (RIIC) was hosted in Panama City Panama by Panama Israel Chamber of Commerce President Eli Faskha. During the meeting, both discussed ways to collaborate, shared ideas and experiences from their activities in the relevant Chambers of Commerce. Subjects were Blue Economy Collaboration, Cyber Security, Cross Culture and others. They agreed to meet again in the U.S. during Eli Faskha's upcoming visit to the U.S. to continue the discussion.

"We were thrilled to meet with the RIIC in Panama. We have always been a gateway to Latin America and we are very welcoming to Israeli and Jewish communities from around the world. We look forward to more collaboration in the future" Eli Faskha

The visit was part of a bigger initiative to connect the Rhode Island Israel Collaborative (RIIC) and the state of Rhode Island's ecosystem with the Rhode Island  Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, headed by Oscar Mejias, and the Israel Latin America Chamber of Commerce headed by Miri Berger.

In recent conference call, Oscar Mejias, Miri Berger and Avi Nevel discussed collaboration and potential joint projects for the upcoming years

Some of the ideas explored for the future were, for example, were for entrepreneurs from the various Latin American Chambers of Commerce, Israelis and Rhode Islanders to share their stories to empower each other and connect with other entrepreneurs’ best practices, as well as hold a conference on AI and its application to help small businesses.  The conference will be in Spanish and in English.

"We at the RIIC give great importance to connecting the Rhode Island Israel's ecosystem in business, academia and research beyond Rhode Island and Israel borders. The more connections we have would be a win/win for all the Israeli chambers around the world." - Avi Nevel
